Płanetnik - a character from Slavic beliefs, demonic or half-demonic being, which embodies atmospheric phenomena. What is more, Chmurnicy or Obłocznicy are people, who, during the storm, were taken to the sky by clouds. After that, they are engaged there in moving clouds from one place to another, collecting rain and dropping it on designated place.
They are young and strong, beyond their years. A sign, that a boy is destined to be a płanetnik are tiny wings which grow under the arms for a year or two before taking him to the the sky.
The work is an example of  Zakopane Style, inspired by mountain culture.
